We have the first generation and I've had no issues with it, mostly at the Cathedral Range and Wilsons Prom but a few other places around Victoria. I haven't had to activate the 'Help' or '911' settings but I would be confident that the unit would give an accurate enough (within 20 or so meters) reading to get the required services to where you are. For the price it was a much better option than getting a Sat phone and has more functions than a straight EPIRB/PLB so it is much more useful. |
