couple things come to mind.
a. thinner ropes tend to twist more on rappels
b. all ropes twist a bit
c. if the ends of the rope are bouncing around in the wind, they will twist more
d. holding the rope (break hand) in-line with how it feeds thru the reverso will help some.
e. i always use a draw, midway between my auto-block and reverso, clipped thru ONE of the strands, so both strands feed parallel. works about 90% of the time to prevent the twisties.
f. washing the rope and drying properly periodically will help a bit to prevent future twisties. |
