They're handy on granite generally, buffalo and freycinet come to mind. Just anywhere flaring. As for pin scars, i found TCU's(that i bootied!) worked perfectly in them! Link cams wont work so well in pods, as when fully retracted they need more space than a normal cam. Both times ive weighted my link in slight flares, it dropped me a heart starting half inch. So offsets are great to have on a rack, but id say as the third set of cams you buy. Theyre great for wall climbing etc but normal cams are more useful generally. Things that they would work well in, eg Ozy, have been done a million times without, so i wouldnt bother getting them. Unless your a diehard gearfreak!!
