Scary! I quite like the GriGri as part of an ascending system. I use the technique that runs the 'brake' end of the rope back up and through a pulley attached to the ascending device. O geez, just googled it for a link to show what I'm talking about and it looks like I learned it from Chockstone! (thanks Phil Box!) http://www.chockstone.org/TechTips/Jug.htm Anyway - the point of my post... Is it possible that using the pulley technique would help keep the GriGri2 at the right angle to prevent this problem? -Rob
