IMHO Camp Four sucks as an approach shoe if you plan to clip it to your harness or try and stuff in a small pack - they are ridiculously heavy and bulky with all that (unneccesary) rubber moulding around the heel. And the 5.10 fit isn't particularly good for my narrow feet, if your foot shape is in that category.
I had La Sportiva Exum Ridge's which were awesome to carry up a climb - very light, and they fit my feet great. But they didn't last long - soles wore out super quick (goes with the territory with sticky i.e. soft soles I guess) and the meshy uppers didn't like scrub bashing. They were cheap tho... |
