I thought the solution for the fly was to use a blue tarp (cheap) and a big wire and a prussik cord. You put the wedge of the wire near the centre of the tarp, and fold the tarp fabric around it. (So that you have all of the wire - fat metal bit and the wire loop - inside the tarp). You then tie a prussik hitch around the outside of the tarp and wire, so that it's wrapped around the wire part of the nut. The free end of the prussik loop gets clipped to the anchor. You can then use the clipping loop of the wire as an attachment point once inside the ledge.

Does that make sense....?

Does sound a little bit dodgy eh. I guess you'd want a really big wire. Maybe a massive slung hex would be even better.

Can you tell us more about the camp stretcher? I thought about this, but didn't think the frames that I looked at would be rigid enough when suspended. They were the folding sort of stretcher that had those 'x' legs...
