It really does show how dodgy OP's quality control is. I once met a guy who works for metolius. He told me when cams are constructed he had the job of looking over cams with a microscope for any flaws and microscopic cracks. This process was done for each and every cam they constructed. If any imperfections were found there was two approaches, try and repair the imperfection or toss em out. I don't know what goes on at OP but I imagine they'd do something similar with their beeners - they would be stupid not to. Its just really slack that the quality control person missed such an obvious flaw.
