Using prussiks for a third hand are great but if your on a 9mm or less as opposed to something like 10.5, 11. Not only like mentioned you should add a wrap but the diametre of your cord should really decrease aswell. If I'm recreation abseiling I use a Piranha because its so easy to add friction Always with a backup though.
