Not that there arent enough ideas here already. But if you only wanted a minor increase in friction you can also rig your atc on your (full strength loops) daisy chain 30-50cm away from your body, instead of rigging it through your belay loop. This increases the friction by making the rope run at a more acute angle as it enters the device.
PS: Is there a proper name for a fully reinforced daisy/safety chain? |
