Aiding up a very thin crack at Frog I was on the smallest RP you can get. That thing is scary. The wire was tinkling as it scraped the edge of the crack as I stood up in it. Way beyond the highest C note on a piano. As I'm moving my weight onto it I spy just below it the head off the same size RP. The wire had been snapped off it and there immortalised for all time was that tiny brass/bronze RP a memoril for some unknown climbers ride through the air.
I was muchly comforted when I got my weight onto a hook. |
