Right you are dalai! I read the first post, but not the title. Yep slippers and crack climbing obviously dont mix too well.

Although even for slab climbing only, I still like a stiff soled 'conventional' shoe. For something like slab climbing, which is based on confidence more than strength, I suspect whatever shoe you have the most faith / confidence in may be the best.
