Dragons use 8mm dyneema slings like their torque nuts. Apparently the C4 sling are (mostly?) nylon, and thicker to stop the thumb loop collapsing. All climbing equipment companies only guarantee slings for 5 years (possibly a conservative safety conscious number), so they don't really need to have something last longer. Slightly different topic - apparently 6mm dyneema slings are starting to appear.
