Dutch: I agree with you that the lack of thumb loop is not an issue, though you will find people on other forums swearing never to buy a dragon cam because of it. Seems a bit illogical, but some people love their loops. Also, apparently some aid climbers clip a karabiner directly into the C4 thumb loop rather than the sling.
