Yah, Steve Vai, total mutant. Arguably the most technically virtuosic guitarist to ever have lived... On 'Just like Paradise', the solo was recorded in the studio with a 450ms digital echo (delay) effect, so every note he plays gets echo'ed 450ms later. For playing the tune live, he would play the first line (on the Heart guitar) with his left hand, and then the 450ms echo line with his right. You can see a snippet of this amazing B.S. at 3:21. Which is in the realms of freakishly hard in terms of musicianship and guitar playing...!! : )
