Take the rope to a steep overhung cliff two pitches off the ground. Back yourself up with a second rope and do some lobs onto the yellow rope. Make sure all your weight goes onto the yellow rope with the other backup rope being their only for a just in case.
Your rope from the description may in fact be OK but better to test it by falling onto it. If you really want to give your rope hell then drop an 80kg weight onto it via a factor two. |
