Hi Francois,
I don't think the cam is damaged, just re-orientate the rotated lobes to be back in their original position - you may have to help the trigger string slide through the metal part of the trigger assembly.
It appears to me that while the cam was ripping out, one lobe got hooked up and thus the resultant "damage".
So no mechanical failure I can see, probably just a bad placement, or a good placement that moved into a bad position after the climber placed it.
