Gear for a first crack at Aid Climbing |

ey folks,
Planning on trying out some aid climbing in an upcoming 2 weeek araps stint. I've never done any aid before but would like to muck around aiding a few cracks, then have a go at Seventh Pillar on the way home. Eventually I'd like to aid Ozy and Passport.
At the moment I have plenty of Trad gear plus two etriers. What else do i really need? I think the typical extras would be 2 daisy chains, a left and right ascender and a fifi hook, but that seems a bit of an investment considering I haven't tried aid yet.
Do I really need all that? Any ideas/experiences of improvising the gear/system? |
