The fact that MSR stands for Mountain Safety Research is one of the greatest ironies of the modern world.
I remember lending my MSR whisperlight to a friend and giving her a run-down on how to light it.
Me: Let a bit of shellite drip out and then set fire to the stove. As the flames are dying down, slowly open up the valve and the stove should light.
Her: You're shitting me. This is like something Russians would make. |
