I have had a Reflex 2.5 jacket made by MacPac for about 5 years now (model is the Zone) - it is not Taslan base material, but some lighter nylon

The jacket material has been great except for one issue - the Reflex lining has totally worn away/flaked off around the neck area and chin area of the hood due either to sweat, suncream or a combo of these. But in all other areas the Reflex membrane lining is still bomber after much abuse from wearing under both harnesses and packs while alpine climbing and being stuffed scrunched up in packs.

Seems at least equal in performance to my GoreTex tramping jacket, but way lighter.

Maybe if I had made an effort to rinse off sweat and suncream residue after each use this may not have happened. But I intend touching these areas up with silicone sealer and she'll be good for another few years I reckon.
