Tested at Lunch the chains were predicted to break at 12 to 30 kN depending on the steel strength, tested one which failed at 20.2 kN Ok biner broke at 29.8 kN "Bad" biner broke at 10.2 kN It seems that the printed word will survive another day "It looks like the gate arm has a split near the hinge pin. If the split gate one resists more than 10 KN I will print this page and eat it (my choice of sauce and side dishes" Good guess by ambyeok, no guess on 'good' strength Best Guess by Matthewp Both broke in the Al material of the gate around the hinge pin Will post shots on monday Variability! (Edited to fix error pointed out below)
