I have both a BD guide and a Reverso. Both are excellent. Depending on how small the diameter of the ropes you want to use I'd lean to the Guide. It can handle any size, where as the reverso is mainly for the thicker ropes, you'd have to get a reversino for the smaller diameters. I climb on a pair of 8m beal half ropes, and the bd guide works great with them.
