I think the best system for security on any route is a single skinny rope i.e 9.2mm and a half rope clipped alternatively. Use the single at the start of a pitch when there is little rope in the system and high impact force fall potential and then start clipping the half alternatively as potential fall factor decreases. covers all bases.
