It was such a revelation when they brought out 90 deg ones wasn't it!

I only use them these days, though on lower angled slab routes I still reckon 45s are easier to clip as you can press the non clipping end of the hanger against the rock as you put the biner into it.

I also sometimes find the 90s are harder to get on, as Neil mentions the PFH ones are small and can be a nightmare at Buffalo on the older routes.

I also recommend geting a variety of brands and types (90 and 45) and then add flexibility to your hangers by filing down the inside of several so you don't have to resort to using wires over the carrot at some of our more old school trad areas!

Also make sure you mark them with something also so you don't place the filed down ones on small headed bolts!!
