It probably seems like a fair deal to her because she probably paid much more for them, but now that they are a superseded model you can buy a pair of those exact boots from Telemark Pyrenees for AU$288 NEW and postage is not going to be anything like AU$112 (I've bought both my pairs of mountaineering boots from them) - I imagine there are other o/s retailers looking to clear them too now the EVO is established.

You can get the EVOs for $470 too. Personally I love them.
I did my first season in NZ in a pair of ASOLO plastics and never again. No matter how loose I laced them they cut my shins and generally tortured me and I didn't attempt to walk out in them, I'm just talking about the approach to climbs.
When I bought my own boots I got a pair of early model La Sportiva Trangos - quite liked these but I have crap circulation and even in NZ my feet got cold. I wore them for several seasons and then upgraded to the Nepal EVOs and I've never looked back.
