how about adding a vertical section to the middle of a back board which is slightly longer than your cord attachments? well positioned against the branch/bar it should resist the effect of your weight sending you off vertical.

an alternate suggestion is "turntillburn" which does a similar job to what you're after: www.turntillburn.ch. i have one and its pertty effective, easier on the fingers as well, but in an ideal world you are better off with the both fingerboard and turntillburn.
