Seriously what f-wit would take that lady up to skydive? I wonder if that instructor will refuse to take such types. At least if she was rock climbing she would have had both feet on the ground. The position of the granny during the descent was gold!

Why would he refuse her? All types of people regularly skydive quite safely, this appears to be a grande el f---up on the part of the tandem master by not clipping the lateral points on her harness and the harness being nowhere near tight enough..

They pretty much tickt all the wrong boxes and are super lucky that she didn't fall to her death. If she doesn't sue them after all that then they would have to be pretty darn lucky!

thats the same thing that happens with a lot of Austalian Standards approved fall arrest harnesses, you just fall out the back!!

Just as screwed up was the fact the instructor physically forced her to jump even as she was saying no no and pushing away from the door. Does that happen often?
I found this thread on a skydiving forum talking about the many things the instructor did wrong:
"Thankfully, the 80 year old saved her own life by locking her arms around the main lift web. The instructor had his rating pulled by UPT and will not get it back. This looks exactly like the one in Georgia with the quad. Except that guy could not hold on and slipped right out."

This has apparently happened as the quote above mentioned, about the 'quad in Georgia': the guy was a paraplegic, couldn't hold on with his legs, and fell out the back of the harness to his death.

I know it's wrong, but I couldn't stop laughing at that! What a cracker!

Surely she or anyone should not be forced out of the plane like that.

why does she have to sue them?
