Wow this thread is a blast from the past!

Wendy it would be great to see you at the Arapiles building some time. From my experience people are often misdiagnosed with CTS (it's amazing how many referrals I have received from GPs for CTS when it's something completely different). So getting an accurate diagnosis is the first step.

If it is indeed CTS, then there are a few things that physical therapists can use that may be of benefit.

I had my first wrist released in 2007, and then my other wrist became symptomatic and I had surgery on it in June 2011 (by Mr Campbell at Lister House in Horsham). I am now back to climbing at my previous level, pain free. So surgery has been extremely successful for me, however the literature indicates that it is not always so effective for everyone.
