ganglion cyst removal |

Anyone ever had one removed? Apparently, after I gave myself a nice cut on the small finger right on the knuckle, the fluid from the joint poured in and couldn't evacuate.. now I have a small ganglion cyst there.
Doctor said to leave it if its not annoying me but its quite painful when its cold and it makes certain climbing positions painful.
I'm weighing up surgery but I am not too psyched on having someone cut my finger open and play around near the tendon sheathe and the joint (which needs to be "cleaned)...
Hoping to find out if anyone else knows much about it.
