Its very different in philosophy to acupuncture. in dry needling you are needling for structure ie you feel for a trigger point ect and needle according to what you palpate. your not needling along meridian lines or at certain mapped points as in acupuncture. for me it has made my treatment of soft tissue pain, tightness and spasm from over use or incorrect use just so much better. its much les painful for the patient than me getting stuck in with elbows ect and so much more lasting. good luck |
