To summarise 10 years of private practice i would suggest cortisone is of little use in shoulders,hips and elbows however can be brilliant for Mortons Neuroma's Achilles Tendinosis and plantar facicia problems. At the end of the day you have to look at why the inflammation occured in the first place . Is it biomechanical or was it trauma?? Biomechanicals issues are never a quick fix!
