Agreed, for the majority of bridge swings you just need some basic knot tying and a bit of common sense, not a wealth of rigging and climbing knowledge. That includes making home made harnesses. When you start pushing the boat out a little, some rigging knowledge starts coming into play but again can be negated by a little extra common sense.
