how about cats? i met a climber in skaha, bc, canada that road tripped with her cat. it would hang out at the base while she climbed. i saw some dogs spot it and approach the cat quickly and aggressively, and the cat didn't even flinch, nor hiss or gets it back up, just sat that and watched the dogs. the dogs stopped short about 3m of the cat, watched it for a couple seconds, thought better of it and continued down the trail at the base of the wall. pretty funny. if animals can communicate i wonder what the exchange was?
