It's always challenging making clear diagnoses without seeing something yourself, but I would point out that the ability to move your fingers doesn't rule out partial ligamentous injury. The person poking around the wound would have had the best chance to see how much stuff beneath the skin was injured.
IF the only injury is to skin, then you should be able to pull down once the skin is securely healed - 14 days should be sufficient, but you'll see it yourself.
IF there is significant injury below the skin this might take longer. Climbing is not a particularly hand-friendly pursuit IMO.
In my practice in infectious diseases, I get to see these when someone goes back too early and either gets a haematoma that gets infected or bursts the original wound open (and then gets infected). I'd suggest that you avoid having to meet an infectious diseases doc.
