Greetings,

I suffered the same injury on the 21st of last month. I fell off of some equipment at work and landed on my right shoulder. My Orthopedist said "there is no clinical evidence that the surgery does any good".

Since we are coming into our busy time at work, (grape harvest) and I drive the semi...or is that a lorry?... I have decline to have the surgery at this time. The 8 to 12 weeks in a sling precludes any driving.

Saw my Ortho guy yesterday and have been assigned physical therapy twice a week and an anti-inflammatory to 'aid in the healing'

Had another similar experience last week, pulled a heavy bag out of the trunk, boot?, of the car and had a strange pain and my shoulder now sits a little different. Doesn't hurt, just feels odd.

My range of motion is the same as before. I seem to be lacking strength in a push up, or rowing type motion.

My shoulder gets sore when walking also. I think it's the weight of my arm pulling on the muscles because there isn't a bone holding it up anymore.

Sorry to hear of your injury but happy that you posted this, I am glad that I am not the only one going through the 'do I go under the knife, or not dilemma'
