High blood pressure and rock climbing has interested me for a while. I have had readings of high/normal BP that does not require meds (yet). I have wondered how blood pressure generally behaves during climbing. I know that the cardio workout would be beneficial, buts lets face it, climbing isn't tennis, and more often than not we find our selves straining both physically and mentally sometimes to the point of extreme stress.
I wonder if in the long term rock climbing would be beneficial or hazardous to BP health ? Also, could the various drugs required impair climbing ability ? |
