Seriously ... get a diagnosis from a trained professional. We untrained folk could all speculate on what's wrong and you could self-treat for the wrong thing and still be in the same boat, or indeed worse off, 6 months from now.
If scaring you into submission is what is required to send you to off to the medicos, here is my elbow story :
I had a dodgy elbow situation on and off for a couple of years. Last year I got a slightly dodgy little finger, which I rested. At some point weeks there after, things degenerated into constant pain from neck through to little finger, and degraded to the point where I literally could not hold a piece of paper, or an empty plastic cup. The effort in doing so caused my hand to tremble and drop the said item. After consulting with a number of medicos and being offered surgery by an expensive chap, I finally found a good physio (am in London) who noticed the whole mess was in fact trouble in the shoulder. I don't even want to think about what the state of things would be now and in the future if that hadn't been diagnosed. At the time I was ticked off I was not able to climb, and indeed it completely ruined two climbing holidays, but the greater picture was ; oh my god I cannot even hold a sheet of paper. Setting aside the climbing issue, this does not mean great things for life in general...
Get it sorted matie. Best of luck :-)
