I've been doing a lot of intensive bouldering sessions recently. I know what you mean about wierd sleep. Bizarely considering how knackered I feel, what helps me the most is to go for a twenty minute jog a couple of hours before bed. It helps to get the blood flowing and helps muscle recovery. That combined with sleeping with the window open seems to pretty much solve the problem for me. When I used to do a lot of serious cycle training I'd always go for a short easy ride in the afternoon if I had been doing a lot of hill work in the morning. It works wonders for muscle ache and sleeping better.

p.s. wolfgang is wrong, lions do warm up. He might be thinking of sharks.
