I’ve seen many people die – some unexpectedly. I’ve heard doctors and nurses swear at patients whilst performing CPR – people who are trained to deal with such situations. You just can’t help it – you’re desperately trying to save someone’s life and yet you can see them slipping away. The good old fight or flight response takes over. You’ve got adrenaline rushing through your arteries, your heart rate and respirations go up, your hands start shaking, you display angry, aggressive and combative behaviour. It’s something the human body is designed to do. Before you start criticising someone, think about how you would react if you were in their shoes? And then realise that you can’t actually predict your reaction.
