Apparently it was last Tuesday night at about 8pm. It seems that he was walking around the top of the cliffs at Morna Point and fell. He was not a climber, and had no rope or harness. A fisherman must have heard him fall and raised the alarm. A paramedic was winched in and the boy was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital with multiple broken bones and head injuries. The paper said the cliff was 25m but its more like 15m. He must have fallen onto the sand at the back of the inlet but still would have narrowly missed the rocks at the base. |
