We flew in to Plateau Hut, the same day they went up the ridge and actually shared the room with Epic Steve, after the weather came in and the shit weather days kept going on, and we knew they were out there stuck on the hill, it sorta made you feel helpless and pretty bad. We headed out to climb Dixon on the first good weather day and kept an eye on the ridge, We were happy when we started getting flashed by a headlamp from up on the ridge and turned around half way across the glacier to head back to the hut, and wake up a guide in the hut to ring DOC, after heading back out to Dixon and watching the drama unfold, With the chopper flying around over the massive slots at the bottom of the face we knew it wasnt good news RIP Mark
