Sciatic pain is a bitch.
I had a week off just last month with a flare up, presumably caused by a strenuous gaston over a roof.
What worked for me this time and in the past was Mackenzie exercises prescribed by my Physio. They've brought great relief, although heel hooking on one side is still weak as piss and causes crazy cramps! Maintaining tension on the steep stuff takes a bit more work nowadays.. :-) all the more reason to cut loose and climb dynamically.
After noticing soreness on days after big drops from the blocs, I started downclimbing when possible, that helps too in recovery and the long term. Best of luck Tony! |
