Hello,

I am Peter, the father of Leo Schrass. My wife Andrea is standing next to me and our son Tobi has shown us the way to this forum.

The three of us have said farewell to Leo in Melbourne with great dignity and taken him home in an urn. On Tuesday, the 29th of May, we have given him to the soil on the cemetery of his hometown Birkenweiler. A lot of people have accompanied him and us doing this.

Most of them were young people which I had never seen before. [They were] as young and unknown as most of all those who have posted in the forum. Their and your grief, shock, your honest compassion and your solidarity are helping us and are giving us a lot of strength. We thank you from deep in our hearts for that.

I want to use this opportunity to remind you of Timo and Tatjana, Leos companions in the accident. They held his hand up to his death in the Alfred’s in Melbourne. It is a great honour for me to have found these great young people as friends.
