Hmmm, I'm not sure that it's an issue of developing the required callouses. At the risk of sounding manky (but hopefully not as manky as Manky Rat) it seems like a bit of a dermological reaction that occurs when I frequent the gym - more so than your average battered fingertips syndrome (BFS).
Besides, the whole sweaty scunginess of the holds at Melb gyms is just grossing me out in general. It can't be healthy. Camping grot is one thing, but accumulated sweat and germiness is not my cup o' tea. |
