V squared = U squared + 2 x a x s
I knew year 12 physics would be usefull some day, now 15 years later, it is.
U - initial velocity (m/s) = 0
a - accleration due to gravity = 9.8 m/s2
s - distance of fall - 10m
Hence V squared = 196, or V = 14 m/s = 14 *60*60/1000 = 50.4 km/hr
As they say on the adds "wipe of 5". - in climbing speak would be "place pro 0.1m earlier"
Hope you get better soon, and thanks for the details!
