It sounds like the burns on your fingers are superficial and the thumb is partial thickness. Leave them alone, nothing is going to speed up the process. If the skin is broken or breaks in the future then as sugested an opsite or tegaderm can be used to dress the site, although you may have problems keeping the dressing in place.
