My 2 cents on this. Russ Crowe and I climbed - perhaps this route - on Crookneck about 10 years ago. It took Russ over an hour to lead the first pitch and he shouted down to tell me that it was too dangerous to go up or even rap down from where he was. I had no choice but to climb up to him. Half way up the pitch a block the size of a fridge gave way under my feet and crashed to the ground. We were both scared shitless and Russ refused to move for over 2 hours. Eventually we got to the top - only to be stranded by an electrical storm - the experience gave me nightmares for weeks afterwards.
