no, the helmet i was wearing that day was a Petzl Elios, specifically designed for rock climbing. i have since thrown the helmet in the bin as one of the main struts has snapped and also the helmet has taken a severe knock thus weakening its overall structure. This means the safety of the helmet has been decreased and perhaps another icident would mean failure of the equipment and severe, not minor injury incurred.Just like any other peice of climbing gear that is damaged in a fall or knock. you retire it and buy another piece.
