Makes sense. I usually end up getting belayed by whoever's around - some who are experienced leaders, some who haven't lead.

The grades I lead are fairly modest so there there's usually plenty of stuff below to land on. I'm a better theoretical climber than actual - very gutsy on a 2nd.
