I have 5-year membership with Ambulance Victoria. Current renewal cost of that is $230. Actually the same cost as 5 years of annual membership ($46/annum) if fees don't rise over 5 years. But it's one thing I don't have to remember to renew every year.Covers me throughout Australia. Have to live in Victoria or some adjacent towns in NSW and SA and have permanent or temporary Australian residency. https://www.ambulance.vic.gov.au/membership/fees-terms/ Had a flight back from Melbourne in a fixed wing air ambulance after some treatment about 9 years ago. I think the fee was around $3500 - I got an invoice and sent it back with my membership number.
