Update:
Had surgery a week ago on what was thought to be a full thickness rotor cuff tear. Turned out I have large bone spurs on my acromion that have been there forever. Problem was one of these spurs was a flap and had been rubbing on the bursar and also damaging the tendon. Long story short, tendon intact and now tidied up. Bone spur removed as well as extremely damages bursar. Recovery expected in a month. Unfortunately the other shoulder will probably require the same treatment. At least it's not a 3 to 12 month recovery. |
